An incredible opportunity has opened for a respectable music brand seeking a talented Content Editor for a fast paced ediorial team. Located in London the content editor will sit amongst other creative-minded writers to produce engaging content for the web, social and app. The editor will deliver digital content to make classical music accessible to as many people as possible while satisfying the existing fan base and enticing a new target audience. This role is to support the on-air output, working with other teams within the media company to increase on-air audience and generate online traffic.
Classical music knowledge is not essential but the editor must have an appreciation for all types of music genres and an interest in musics impact on history - how music has shaped new genres or played a part in films or world events etc. Importantly, the content editor should have experience engaging audiences with long form and short social content, delivering timely and enjoyable journalism. The candidate must have an eye for detail and maintain a high editorial standard for the brand. As a digital native the editor must be aware of traffic and able to follow trends using analytics. Experience with native advertising is a bonus.
