My client is by far the leading e-commerce solution provider for major retailers in the UK and abroad. Their commerce platform is a J2EE application developed by the company to provide market leading e-commerce functionality. Each deployment is based on a specific version of the core platform, configured to the client requirements and integrating a bespoke front end website. Testing is undertaken for both new versions of the core platform as well as client specific deployments. The goal of the team is to ensure that the one or more versions of application under test are rigorously evaluated in preparation for client UAT. The team works closely with both the web and application development teams during each project and then assists clients during UAT. Once deployed, the team works with the support team to ensure delivery of maintenance releases and patches. You will be required to: • Design and maintain comprehensive application test cases and procedures for both the core platform and individual client requirements • Document and track defects and enhancements using the tracking tool JIRA • Test the business logic and user interface of client websites • Work with client and third-party teams to complete integration and end-to-end functional testing • Update project management and clients with the status of testing Skills & Qualifications: All candidates must be able to demonstrate the following attributes: • At least 2 years experience of testing web applications • ISEB / ISTQB qualification preferred • Understanding of the software development lifecycle in a commercial environment • Basic working knowledge of SQL and Linux / UNIX shell commands • Understanding of HTML, XML, JSPs, JavaScript • Knowledge of test automation would be beneficial Personal qualities: • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate accurately and efficiently with developers, analysts and clients • Flexible, self motivated, and well-organised • A proactive, methodical approach to problem solving • Good team player • Attention to detail essential Up to £25k dependent on experience Requirement: The right to live and work in the UK Fluent in written and spoken English

You will be working in fantastic offices in London within a great technical team. The Technical Manager supports the digital development team in all areas of production. They will be the primary contact for developers requiring advice on version control, server configuration and support and will liaise closely with the tech department on a daily basis. The Technical manager will be the main point of contact for discussions with 3rd party suppliers and clients establishing technical requirements of platforms and frameworks for a given project.
